Cake Topper Inspired Cake

Photograph kindly provided by the bride and groom

Daryl and Phil were brimming with ideas when we met them for a cake tasting and it was very much a brain storming session discussing many ideas.  Sometimes it can be the simplest thing that brings a design together and for Daryl and Phil it was their topper which they had fallen in love with.  From this the flowers and colours blended perfectly.

We arrived once the wedding ceremony had finished and the wedding party were having drinks in the garden whilst the venue was beautifully transformed into a mini medieval banquet style for their reception.  This was probably the only wedding where we set up the wedding cake with the bride and groom in attendance!

Candles lit the venue and straw scented with herbs covered the floor…exactly as we had imagined.

We received a lovely thank you card from Daryl and Phil a few weeks after their special day saying how much they loved it and that they were still receiving compliments about their cake, making yet another Bluebell Kitchen adventure worth it!
