Vintage Winter Wedding

Vintage winter wedding

On the shortest day of the year, Winter’s Barn, Canterbury was set up as a “Winter Wonderland” and we were thrilled to be part of it.

The wedding cake design started as vintage gold and pink but by the wedding date had become silver, ivory and pink, but was always going to be a tower of cupcakes with a beautiful top cake.

Each cupcake was individually decorated with buttercream and a sweet shimmering fondant pale pink icing finished with mini handmade pink sugar roses, gooseberry green hydrangeas and hand  painted sugar buttons and pearls.  A delicate lace wrapper with hints of hand painted silver surrounded each cupcake.

We could not find vintage subtle silver cake wrappers so yes, Erica and Charlie spent an evening painting each individual wrapper!  The bride really appreciated us going this extra mile.
