We left BK headquarters at 7 am this morning to deliver the yummy mini cupcakes to Waterstones Piccadilly for their World Book Day event which was being hosted by Lauren St John author of one of the special World Book Day novels – “The Midnight Picnic.”

Negotiating jam packed trains whilst carrying over 200 cakes is definitely an experience…however many more people got on the train, we were guarding the cakes with our lives!  We kept a close eye on those potentially hungry commuters who seemed a little over interested in the cakes!

The Cakes (and us!) arrived safely at Waterstones Piccadilly to be met by Silv and Cam of the Waterstones Events Team, who had planned a day of amazing events for World Book Day including a wow schools’  event with Lauren St John reading from “The Midnight Picnic” who described our cakes as “Delicious.  Little works of genius.”  This was followed by the Writes of Passage event with Children’s Laureate Malorie Blackman and author James Dawson to discuss the ultimate list of the 50 YA books that have changed your life.

Can’t wait for World Book Day 2015.
