Information That We Collect:

Bluebell Kitchen processes your personal data to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our goods. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any way, other than as specified in this notice.

We collect information in the following way:

  • Bluebell Cake Design Ltd t/a Bluebell Kitchen: To facilitate the processing of your booking for a tasting consultation, wedding or celebration cake order, or workshop registration.
  • Newsletter/Mailing List Sign-up: To send you updates and relevant information regarding our services, workshops, and general offerings.
  • Website Content: To ensure that content from our site is displayed in the most effective and user-friendly way for your device.
  • Service Updates: To keep you informed about any changes or updates to our services.

We Use Your Personal Data:

Bluebell Kitchen takes your privacy very seriously and will never disclose or share your data without your consent, unless required to do so by law, or in connection with the provision of our services for your wedding/celebration event/workshops. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purpose(s) specified in this notice.

The purposes and reasons for processing your personal data are detailed below:

  • We collect your personal data in order to provide wedding/celebration cakes/ workshops, and ensure that the items to be supplied by Bluebell Kitchen to you are as agreed in our proposal/ invoice.
  • To answer questions and queries and also to request testimonials. We may use the information given to improve our products.
  • We may occasionally send information about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting, where you have consented to be contacted for such purpose.   
  • To send you information required by law, eg changes to our Privacy Notice, or to send you details of changes to the services we provide.

 

Information Storage:

  • If you book a consultation and tasting box with us, you will be asked to supply your email address together with your first and surnames, your home address and phone number,  using the on line calendar Calendly when you book.
  • If you have given us your email address along with your first name to receive our newsletter, it will be stored via Mailerlite.    If you do not wish to receive marketing information you can opt out at any time by letting us know either in writing by email info@bluebellkitchen.co.uk or by clicking on the unsubscribe button on the marketing email.
  • If you book a place on one of our workshops via our website, your personal data will be noted.  This will include your email address, first and surnames, you card billing details and your payment information.  We do this via Stripe which will supply your personal information including your name and email address to us but will never send us your financial information.  Stripe has its own privacy policy.

Sharing and Disclosing Your Personal Information:

We do not share or disclose any of your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice or where there is a legal requirement.

Control of Your Personal Data:

You have the right to request access to any personal data that Bluebell Kitchen holds about you at any time. If you believe that any of the information we have is incorrect or incomplete, you can ask us to update or amend it. We will do our best to respond promptly, unless there is a legitimate reason for not making the change, in which case we will inform you.

You also have the right to request the deletion of your personal data or to restrict its processing, where applicable, in accordance with data protection laws. Furthermore, you can withdraw your consent for any direct marketing communications from us at any time.

How Long We Keep Your Data:

Bluebell Kitchen only retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. We are required under UK Tax Law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be reviewed and archived or securely shredded.

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small data files of information sent to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow our website to recognise you when you visit. Cookies collect statistical data about your browsing, ie which pages are more popular but do not identify you as an individual. Cookies enable us to provide you with a better website. Website Analytics and Targeted Marketing:

We use website analytics to evaluate and improve our site.  We use Google Analytics to improve our visibility and to monitor website browser and navigation across our site.

The information collected is always anonymised and grouped before reporting back to us:

  • number of visitors to our site
  • pages visited and time on each page
  • page interaction, eg scrolling, clicks
  • information about where users go when they leave our site
  • page response time and any noted download errors
  • any other technical information we need to know
