What you’ll learn in this Christmas Cupcake Decorating class
As part of your cupcake class you will learn to:
- Taste and perfect buttercream flavour combinations to create the ultimate festive cupcake
- Colour buttercream in a gorgeous Christmas palette to create warm seasonal tones
- Pipe impressive 3D decorations including buttercream trees
- Colour and model cute Christmas characters to bring each cupcake to life
- Mix edible paints and learn embossing techniques
You will take home:
- Six deliciously decorated rich chocolate and Madagascan vanilla festive cupcakes, ready to show off or share
- Our signature cupcake recipe and how you can alter this for different flavour combinations
- Instructions on how to make your own mouth watering buttercream and white chocolate ganache
- Tips and troubleshooting guide so you can recreate your own cupcakes at home

Where will my workshop take place?
Our cake decorating workshops and macaron classes all take place at our home-based studio in Maidstone, Kent.
We are within easy reach of the M20, junction 5 and close to mainline train stations for travel from London and all of Kent and the South East.
Detailed directions to Bluebell Kitchen by car and train, accommodation and taxi information will be provided once your booking is confirmed.
What do I need to bring with me?
You don’t need to bring anything, we will provide all tools and equipment, including aprons!
Drinks, light lunch (full day class only) and delicious snacks will be provided.
Please inform Bluebell Kitchen of any dietary requirement/ allergies on booking your cake decorating workshop or macaron class.
What experience do I need to join a workshop?
Probably one of the first things you’ll ask before signing up to any cake decorating workshop.
If you’re a beginner, but don’t know your sugar paste from your flower paste or your macaron from your macaroon, no problem. Our classes are small, taught almost one to one so that we can tailor them to your experience.
Already made macarons and want to level up your skills and baking techniques? Then our more advanced patisserie desserts class experimenting with different styles and finishes is for you.
What will I get to take home with me?
You’ll take home everything that you’ve made along with full recipes, tips and tricks to recreate your newfound skills at home and suggestions where you can buy equipment from.
If you have any question, big or small, you can always phone or email us and we’ll answer it as quickly as we can. We’ll always try to help so that your learning doesn’t stop at the end of the cake decorating workshop or macaron class.

In the unlikely event that Bluebell Kitchen has to cancel your cake decorating workshop or macarons class, including if we do not have the minimum number of students booked onto that class, we will offer a full refund. Please note: Bluebell Kitchen cannot be held liable for any money spent on accommodation, travel arrangements etc.
