Macaron and Cake Decorating Classes

Welcome to your home from home, at our exclusive macaron and cake decorating classes.  Our courses are held in our home based studio in the heart of Maidstone, Kent...a 50-minute drive from London to the gorgeous Garden of England.

We will support you in adding your own artistic style to every design you make, whether you are a complete novice and don't know your macaron from your macaroon or you plan to turn your passion into a thriving business.

Flavour is central to every cake and macaron you'll bake with us.  You will learn to bring a new twist to classic flavours, designing and pushing the boundaries of traditional cake decorating classes.  You will leave inspired to recreate what you've learned with us in your own kitchen and above all, have developed a love for baking and creating as much as we do.

Our baking and sugar craft classes have a maximum of four students to ensure that you will learn plenty of new skills in a friendly and relaxed environment.  By keeping our cake decorating classes small, you will receive personal attention with almost one to one teaching.

What do I need to bring with me?

You don’t need to bring anything, we will provide all tools and equipment, including aprons!

Drinks, light lunch (full day class only) and delicious snacks will be provided.

Please inform Bluebell Kitchen of any dietary requirement/ allergies prior to attending the class.

What experience do I need to join a class?

Probably one of the first things you’ll ask before signing up to any cake decorating class.

If you’re a beginner, but don’t know your sugar paste from your flower paste or your macaron from your macaroon, no problem. Our classes are small, taught almost one to one so that we can aim them at your experience.

Already made macarons and want to level up your skills and baking techniques then our more advanced patisserie desserts class experimenting with different styles and finishes is for you.

Who will teach me?

Erica and Charlie, the mother and daughter team behind Bluebell Kitchen are your teachers.

Erica is your sugar flower expert and Charlie will guide you through your macaron baking experience.

What will I get to take home with me?

You’ll take home everything that you’ve made along with full recipes, tips and tricks to recreate your new found skills at home and suggestions where you can buy equipment from.

If you have any question, big or small, you can always phone or email us and we’ll answer it as quickly as we can. We’ll always try to help so that your learning doesn’t stop at the end of the class.

How do I book a class?

You can book your class on line, under the individual class details.

Please check class dates carefully as we are unable to offer refunds if you need to cancel your booking. Please note: Bluebell Kitchen cannot be held liable for any money spent on accommodation, travel arrangement etc.

In the unlikely event that Bluebell Kitchen has to cancel your class, including if we do not have the minimum number of students booked onto that class, we will offer a full refund.
