Sweeping Cascade of Sugar Flowers for Claire Chanelle’s Ritz Wedding Cake

Today, we’re celebrating Claire Chanelle’s Ritz wedding cake and blush pink ombré macaron tower.  Whilst wedding celebrations are on hold, it’s fantastic to reminisce over wedding cakes we’ve created in the past few years.  We were delighted to create Claire and Paris’ exquisite cake and  macaron tower for their luxury London wedding at The Ritz.

Claire and Paris said:

“Erica and Charlie, you exceeded yourself with this design, I’ve honestly never seen detail and perfection like this…thank you so much for all your talented hard work.  I gasped when I saw the cake.  I thought WOW. It was perfect.”

Claire is a blogger and stylist who found us on Instagram.  Like every wedding cake we design we work closely to our clients’ personal style and wedding theme, being aware of the venue their handmade cake will be displayed in.  The stunning setting of the private dining room in William Kent House – the grade ll listed mansion, part of The Ritz, London – demanded a cake design of equal magnificence!

Blush Pink Ombré Macaron Tower

Claire loved our signature macaron towers.  She knew that our macaron wedding cakes are distinctive in their design style as we specialise in hand made ombré towers.   For her romantic, intimate Ritz wedding, she knew she wanted to include a stand alone blush pink macaron tower, but as a side dish to her stunning wedding cake.  She wanted her cake to amaze, astonish and be full of indulgent flavours.

Sugar Flowers Cause a Stir

Of all the skills and techniques we use as professional wedding cake makers, our sugar flowers always cause a stir.  The five tier Ritz wedding cake design included a sweeping cascade of delicate handmade bridal white sugar roses.

Our sketch embodies Claire’s idea for a classic style but filled with sugar flowers.  Sugar flowers are our specialty.  Every sugar flower is made sugar petal by petal to ensure elegance and lusciousness handcrafted into every wedding cake design.  To add drama we surrounded their wedding cake with a band of real roses provided by Flowerbx at the base filling the whole cake table!

Memorable showpiece for Ritz Wedding

If the sugar flowers were the attention grabbing flourish, then the subtle, delicate feather lace design added to every tier elevated their white wedding cake design into a memorable showpiece.  It was a pleasure to finally get to personally deliver one of our wedding cake creations to such an iconic London wedding venue.
