Growing up, if it was one of Charlie’s sisters’ birthday then the rest of us had an Unbirthday celebration…perfect excuse for unbirthday presents and cake. Now, whenever we fancy a sweet treat, it’s time for an Unbirthday Celebration Cake. Always just that bit fancier than a regular sponge.
Small and perfectly formed
Lockdown is slowly easing, but small family get togethers are still the norm rather than big birthday celebrations. Our Unbirthday celebration cakes feed six people generously (in our opinion). Perfect for sitting in the garden social distancing with family you may not have seen in many months. Perfect for summer ‘mini’ parties with your closest friends.
Best of all if you can’t decide on one flavour there’s always our Unbirthday cupcakes. When you can’t choose enjoy six of your favourites. You can’t go wrong with Vanilla Berry, a twist on the traditional Madagascan Vanilla flavour finished with a juicy hedgerow berry jam…think strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and more. To the more adventurous, raspberry red velvet – rich red velvet sponge baked with fresh raspberries and finished with a lush raspberry and vanilla buttercream.
It’s all about the taste for us
We’ve carefully crafted our unique recipes for every flavour to ensure your cake is indulgent and irresistibly scrumptious. We’re starting with our personal favourites…Chocolate Orange with homemade dark chocolate orange slices infused with a rich Sicilian orange oil, Vanilla Berry and our Flavour of the Fortnight.
To give you a taste of Flavour of the Fortnight so far. In May this included Coconut & Blueberry and Salted Caramel. First week of June is a ‘naked’ style single tier Tipsy Strawberry & Champagne cake finished with an abundance of fresh summer berries. Perfect for a picnic in the park? Irresistible.
I don’t like cake…
We’ve thought of you too. Our Unbirthday macaron treats are second to none. How about summer berry (the most popular macaron flavour we’ve ever made) filled with fresh and fruit strawberry, blueberry and raspberry buttercream or passionfruit for a zesty, tropical flavour.
How can I order?
Online. Unlike with our wedding cake designs our Unbirthday cakes are there for you to order for a last minute celebration, a thank you or just a little treat for yourself. It simply is a case of pick your favourite and we’ll make that cake for you.
Of course, Unbirthday cakes taste even better when a (large) slice is eaten for breakfast.
