Macaron Wedding Favours: Contemporary and Bespoke

Bride in bright pink wedding dress and groom in tuxedo lying on the floor facing each other surrounded by macarons

Wedding favours have come a long way over the years, and we think the days of sugared almonds might be behind us! Couples are now focusing more on gifting thoughtful, unique little treats that look contemporary and complement their wedding vision as a whole, rather than feeling like an add-on. We’re about to make a big statement but…we think we’ve got the perfect solution: macaron wedding favours. Not only do they taste great and reduce waste (a more sustainable option than the favours that end up in the bin!), we can also make them seriously stylish and totally bespoke. Get ready to fall in love with these bitesize beauties.

Deliciously indulgent macaron wedding favours

Part of our ethos at Bluebell Kitchen is that all our cakes and macarons taste and look gourmet, but also feel home-made. We achieve this by hand-making every macaron in our kitchen in Kent, then adding exquisite designs to elevate them. We may be biased, but we believe no wedding is complete without some macarons! They offer a distinctive, light and crispy texture with that deliciously indulgent chewy centre we all know and love, and there are so many ways you can incorporate them as favours.

Hand painted macaron wedding favours

Macaron wedding favours in the form of place settings have been around on the wedding scene for a while, but we are now seeing a shift from simple favour boxes of macarons to hand painted, personalised macarons instead. This gives us the opportunity to really get creative with the design and create favours that harmoniously become part of your overall wedding vision. For example, we can hand paint a mini bunch of flowers to emulate your bouquet, or produce single, large macarons that echo the style of your invitations and colour scheme. You could even have a totally abstract design for something really contemporary and chic. Tell us your wildest ideas or ask us for inspiration; we devote a lot of our time to these luscious little lovelies, so we’re always happy to talk about them!

Design choices for your macaron wedding favours

When it comes to design and colour choices for your macarons, don’t feel constrained by matching flavour to colour (e.g. green for pistachio and pink for raspberry ripple). Many of our couples choose shell colours that match their wedding scheme rather than the associated flavour.  This results in delighted guests when they bite into their favours! We can hand paint, add gold leaf or shimmer, and achieve any colour from soft pastels to punchy brights. Choose to add guest initials if you really want to get personal!

Our macaron flavour menu

Our macaron flavour menu is full of tempting options.  These range from aromatic rose petal to classic citrus and sweet, familiar banoffee pie. We usually suggest you choose at least two flavours, and these can either complement or contrast one another; imagine summer berry’s hedgerow notes paired with raspberry ripple to inspire summery vibes, or with Moroccan almond for a more varied experience. Please feel free to play with flavours and not feel constrained by classic combinations! You can browse our macaron flavour menu here, and see what we recommend as a cake pairing if you’re having both.

What our couples say…

Macaron wedding favours are an increasingly popular alternative to classic favour options.

As Jade and Sean said,

‘they really did bring the finishing touch to our wedding reception tables…tasted fabulous as well!’

We’d love to help you bring a touch of moreish macaron magic to your wedding. So get in touch if you’d like to start chatting about the possibilities.
