Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines

To celebrate Valentines Day we are so pleased to share photos of some beautiful pictures of some of our lovely clients’  wedding cakes from over the last 12 months.  There were many others and we hope to share some of their photos in the upcoming months.

What an exciting year it has been and we have had the most brilliant time taking our client’s ideas and turning them into real statement cakes.  Here are just a very small selection of the cakes we have created over the past year and we are so pleased that some of our clients wanted to share them with us….

In January Paul and Tracey went for sheer elegance and simplicity based on a Peggy Porschen design, at their beautiful winter wedding, you might have already read our post about their wedding as we were thrilled earlier this year to have made their complimentary first wedding anniversary cake

Rachel and Jamie combined their personalities and classic roses for a fun unique design.  The personalised toppers (provided by the bride and groom) really made their wedding cake into the talking point of the day!

Michelle and Richard’s vintage three tier wedding cake was very much on trend!  Based on a design that Michelle provided us with of her dream wedding cake, we were so pleased to add the Bluebell Kitchen touch to it.

One of the most popular colours of 2013 was a deep Cadburys purple in combination with a chic ivory or white background.  Darren and Emma gave us lots of ideas to work with and we at Bluebell Kitchen were so pleased that they loved our take on a twisted square four tier cake incorporating their wedding bouquet colours.

Nina and Dave ‘s wedding theme was raspberry and ivory and wanted to combine classic with fun.  We were so pleased to be asked to make their handmade sugar topper in combination with raspberry and fuchsia lilies and gerbera daisies.  A really bright and fun cake for an early Autumn wedding.

As you may know having read our earlier blog posts, Christmas was a very busy time and New Year’s Eve 2013 finished with the ultimate statement cake…five tiers of cascading snowflakes for Rebecca and David, a perfect cake to end the year with.
