Happy New Year!  Having had a short break, although still working behind the scenes but at a slightly more leisurely pace, we are ready to go.  Here at Bluebell Kitchen we’re looking forward to an exciting 2020.

Classes

Did we mention our upcoming classes?  We offer macaron and cake classes at our Cake Studio in Maidstone, Kent.  We keep the classes small so that it is almost like having one-to-one tuition.  We also offer one-one-classes as well.

Our first class of 2020 is on Saturday, 1st February – Introduction to Macarons.  You’ll learn all the secrets of creating these delicious treats, you’ll bake everything from scratch, as well as learning all the tips and tricks to avoid some common macaron mistakes you might encounter along the way!

We’ve got a special Early Bird offer available until January 31st 2020.  Book two places on any of the same group class priced £99.00 or more and you only pay for one place.  So, bring a friend along with you to the same group class and you only have to pay for one of you or even go halves!  Come along and have some fun, we’re waiting to meet you.

As you know we love bold, stunning and stylish handmade sugar flowers so now you will have the opportunity to learn how to create our signature style of rose, hydrangeas, selection of petunias, blossoms and buds together with leaves and foliage.    We will be offering an intensive two day Romantic Pastels, Peonies & Roses Masterclass, where you will recreate a three tier cake learning how to ice in a professional style and how to make sugar flowers including peonies, full blown roses, anemones, petunias, tiny blossoms and foliage.

These are just a few of the classes we are offering in Spring 2020.

Other news for early 2020!

The Wedding Experience

If you have just got engaged or are ready to order your wedding cake, come along to The Wedding Experience  at the Detling Showground on Sunday, 26th January, we are at Stand A24.  We are delighted to showcase our latest 2020 designs.  There will be cake to try (we’re still trying to decide which flavours to bring along) and some exciting offers.  It’s always a fun, busy day.

Tasting Consultations

Our first Tasting Consultation Weekend of the year will be on Saturday, 15th and Sunday, 16th February at our Cake Studio in Maidstone, Kent.   We set up our Tasting Consultations like a mini wedding show where you can relax, taste some delicious cake with a glass of Bucks Fizz and see some of our designs up close.  We can discuss all of your ideas to begin to design your dream wedding cake. We always encourage you to bring along as much inspiration with you so that together we can really begin to create cake design ideas, eg colour schemes, flower ideas, etc.

Cake Professionals

In early March we are off to the Cake Professionals Conference in Reading.  The Cake Professionals want delegates to be Inspired-Connected-Informed.  We are hoping to connect with fellow cake designers, learn from the experts and be inspired and celebrate being part of the amazing cake family.

Wedding Clients ……….. the most IMPORTANT!

We mustn’t forget our lovely couples we are making wedding cakes, macaron towers and celebration cakes for this year.  Sketches are underway, lots of phone calls to make and final preparations.

BRING IT ON!!

We are Erica and Charlie Bell, a mother-daughter team creating breathtaking wedding cakes and macarons from our studio in Maidstone, Kent delivered across London, Kent and the South East.   We love nothing more than getting to know our couples, creating distinctive designs that are inventive and imaginative – one-of-a-kind cakes that are designed down to the very last (sugar) detail.
